All the weight of your vehicle rests on the coil springs suspension and normally under massive pressure. Coils springs absorb shock and help to keep wheels in place. That way you can comfortably sit in as your car passes various road obstacles.

Each wheel has a suspension coil spring. The lower part of the coil is attached on the lower control arm while the upper part is attached below the spring perch. Bushings connect control arm with the frame. The wheel is connected to the control arms via ball joints. Each side of the car has two control arms. A suspension spring is located between upper and lower control arm. They work together with shock absorbers to give you a smooth ride by absorbing shocks.

Coil springs rarely wear out. Therefore you do not require regular checks unless you notice that your car is leaning on one side or the coil spring is broke.
